SEN Teaching Assistant

Are you passionate about supporting children with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs? A nurturing primary school in Barnet is looking for a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join their team on a part-time, permanent basis.

Working across EYFS, Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2, you'll be providing crucial support to pupils who face emotional and behavioural challenges, helping them build confidence, resilience and a love of learning. The school is proud of its inclusive ethos and its commitment to supporting every child's emotional wellbeing and academic development.

The Role:

• Offer 1:1 and small group support to pupils with SEMH needs
• Implement behaviour support strategies and emotional regulation tools
• Build strong, trusting relationships with pupils and staff
• Work closely with the SENCO and wider pastoral team

What You'll Need:

• Experience supporting children with SEMH or behavioural challenges
• A calm, caring and resilient nature
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Knowledge of strategies such as Zones of Regulation or Team Teach is a plus
