Location: Billericay, Essex, CM12

Contract Type: Full-Time Permanent

Hours: 09:00-17:00 Monday to Friday

Holiday: 28 days annual leave including bank holidays, during Christmas and New Year

Our client is a well-established accountancy firm based in Billericay, Essex, that provides accountancy services to small businesses and individuals. This dynamic company is looking for an office administrator/receptionist to join its growing team.

They are looking for a proactive and highly organised individual with excellent coordination skills to support a small team of accountants and ensure the seamless operation of the office. As the primary point of contact, you will welcome visitors, manage incoming calls and handle a variety of administrative tasks. If you excel in a dynamic, creative environment and enjoy collaborating with a supportive team, this role could be an excellent fit for you.

Responsibilties:

  • Greet and welcome visitors on arrival in a professional and friendly manner
  • Answer, screen, forward phone calls and take messages
  • Organising workflow/contacting client to request paperwork
  • Provide clerical support to projects and other team members which includes but not limited to office/site administration, marketing and projects etc
  • Organise meetings and coordinate the accountant’s diary
  • Filing and dealing with HMRC/Companies house online
  • Assisting any member of staff with ad hoc tasks & projects
  • Office supplies - ordering stationery, office & contract supplies etc
  • Using excel spreadsheets to log data and info. So, you must be very competent on this and strong computer skills all round

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in a similar role (experience in accountancy is advantageous)
  • Strong team player with excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Previous experience in a fast-paced office environment with multitasking capabilities
  • Highly organised and detail-oriented
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and other standard computer applications
  • Self-motivated, proactive, and capable of using initiative to improve processes
  • Professional telephone manner and exceptional customer service skills
