LINKS Recruitment Group present a fantastic opportunity for a Maintenance Engineer to work within a well-established company who are continuously growing due to company success.

The role:

The purpose of the role is to maximise the operating efficiency of the plant and to maintain the assets, these objectives are to be achieved at the lowest practicable cost.

* Investigate and resolve mechanical and electrical faults on plant and machinery.

* Work to planned preventative maintenance schedule.

* Complete elements of commissioning on plant and equipment.

* Work with sub-contractors to improve working knowledge of plant and equipment.

* Investigate and resolve mechanical and electrical faults on plant and machinery.

* Work to planned preventative maintenance schedule.

* Co-ordinates maintenance activities within a specified area of the plant

* Working in close liaison with Production and other managers during MBT and Lean Manufacturing activities.

* Allocating parts and prioritising work to maximize effectiveness of engineering resources.

* Responsible for regular testing and maintenance of all Mechanical services and associated standby equipment providing Process and Plant Protection.

* Improve the net operating efficiency of the designated area of the plant.

* Proactive approach to spare part asset management.

* Enforce safe working practices to ensure that all activities are carried out in a safe manner. Provide and maintain a safe working environment.

* Responsible for the implementation and development of mechanical maintenance routines for the designated areas.

* Work in an autonomous manner dealing with day to day area issues.

The Person:

* Completion of an engineering apprenticeship and/or HNC level or above in a engineering-related subject; or equivalent experience within a relevant engineering role

* Experience of working within a manufacturing environment.

* You will be mechanically biased with the ability to fault-find and repair mechanical fields.

* Experience across a variety of pneumatic, hydraulic, and mechanical systems.

* Ability to perform both proactive & reactive maintenance duties using a scheduled maintenance system.

Shifts: Days Based - 8am - 4pm + overtime avilable
