Assistant Accountant

Salary: £26,000 - £28,000

Location: Wrexham

Sector: Construction

This position would suit an individual with all round experience in accounts, bookkeeping and purchase / sales ledger. Candidates applying should ideally have their AAT qualification or an equivalent accountancy qualification.Duties & Responsibilities

• Answering purchase/sales ledger queries
• Reconciling supplier statements and payments
• Reconciling bank balances
• Assisting with transactional processing duties (posting and raising invoices, credit control etc.)
• Weekly external payroll payments and journals
• Prepare monthly and annual ledger reconciliations
• Intercompany journals and recharges
• Allocation of expenses and credit cards

Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills & Experience

• Have experience in a similar role
• Be AAT qualified
• Sage 50 experience would be desirable
• Experience working within the construction industry would be desirable
• Experience working in an SME would be desirable
• Have strong interpersonal skills
