A global manufacturing company based outside of Bolton are looking for an Assistant Shipping Coordinator to join their site team on a permanent basis. Their product is exported to customers all over the world and there are daily exports for transport via land, sea and air.

The main responsibilities of the position will be:

* Primary contact for all shipping matters in the Bolton site.

* Liaising with any suppliers / vehicles coming onto site.

* Ensuring that shipments are arranged at the correct security level and that all control measures are in place

* Working with the 3PL transport provider and maintaining necessary documentation

* Input data onto SAP system

The position is full time - Monday to Friday, 37.5 hour week. Flexible start and finish times are also on offer.

To be considered for this opportunity, candidates will need to demonstrate previous experience in shipping/export/logistics/. Proven knowledge of using an ERP or WMS is preferred and you will need to have intermediate/Advanced skills in MS Excel and MS Word.
