Accountants Assistant

Salary: Up to £30,000 OTE

The Role

We are looking for a highly motivated Accountants Assistant to join our prestigious client's dynamic finance team in Birmingham. If you have excellent communication skills, a strong team player mentality, and a keen eye for detail, we want to hear from you.

Key Responsibilities:

• Reviewing payment requests for completeness
• Communicating with different departments to resolve queries
• Managing petty cash transactions
• Credit control - chasing outstanding payments
• Reconciling and posting PDQ transactions daily
• Processing daily bank payments and receipts
• Supporting both finance and operational teams to maintain a robust control environment in line with company policies
• Assisting with general administration tasks and supporting the ledger teams where needed
• Providing ad hoc support to the Accountant and Assistant Accountant

The Person

The ideal candidate will have:

• Previous experience and a good working knowledge of accounting routines
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to meet deadlines
• A keen eye for detail and a methodical approach to work
• Excellent interpersonal skills to interact with internal and external stakeholders
• Knowledge of CDK/Kerridge Dealer Management System is essential
• The ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team

The Salary

• Competitive salary of up to £30,000 OTE
• Monday-Friday, 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM
