Hilton Seafoods is looking for a Technical Manager deliver safe and legal products, via the management and full implementation of the QMS
To maintain and continually improve the site Technical strategy and the Technical standards as set by Hilton Food Group and to embed and drive the Quality Culture across site.
As a Technical Manager some of the responsibilities will be to:
- To be the main point of contact for the retail Technical Managers, responding in a timely manner to their requests and any issues that relate to our products and/or processes.
- To manage an agreed set of customer KPI's and reporting metrics and deliver against them.
- To safeguard the 'groups' adherence to all reporting deadlines both for internal and external deadlines eg: KPI submission, Specification critical paths, customer complaint responses.
- To ensure all aspects of the QMS are fully cascaded, implemented and demonstrate continuous improvement.
- Support the Implementation of the QMS system across the site(s) as cascaded by the Site Technical Manager.
- Direct management and coaching of all direct reports supported with clear development plans.
- Knowledge and consistent use of the incident management system, / site alert system, supported with root cause analysis used to drive robust preventative action plans.
- Trended GMP data and corresponding improvement plans owned by the site teams
- Robust improvement plans against trended data, supported as appropriate with route cause analysis.
- Lead the sites HACCP, TACCP and VACCP teams
- Ensure all 'End product' specifications are accurate and supported with a multi departmental sign off (Similar to the art -work checklist sheet), prior to issuing and are aligned to internal factory specifications and QAS
- Trend all microbiological data ensuring there are plans in place that both tackle out of specification trends and proactively prevent further deviations
- Comprehensive implementation of clear QAS standards across site that drive quality, reduce waste, and improve control
- Direct and indirect management of Technical incidents, RTM's, complaints etc, that deliver robust prevention plans.
To succeed as a Technical Manager, we ask that you have the following experience/expertise:
- Proven track record for developing, leading and motivating high performing teams. Extensive experience in proactive QA team management and able to draw on this experience to drive the department forward.
- Experience in Technical systems implementation and development that demonstrates continuous improvement.
- Broad experience gained working with the major retailers and a trusted and earnt reputation for absolute integrity
- Ability to simultaneously manage numerous projects and workstreams.
