Milestone Education in Solihull/Birmingham are expanding, and a exciting new opportunity has become available for a HR and Safeguarding Officer to join our team of passionate recruitment professionals

We're looking for experienced HR or compliance professional who is confident, good communicators and have a lot of ambition to join our head office.

Milestone Education is an education recruitment business which works in the education space. We support schools via the provision of supply teachers and teaching support staff and we provide training nationwide for schools permanent staff. We have a reputation for great quality and service and to ensure we maintain our standards we have an Operations Team who deal with ensuring that all of our candidates are compliant to work in schools.

The HR and Safeguarding Officer is a key role that helps to drive the business forward.

Responsibilities

* Managing a full onboarding process for a portfolio of new candidates, taking them from initial process through to sign off status

* Ensuring quality of references & chasing references to ensure they are returned in a timely fashion

* Attention to detail required to review each candidate's portfolio and ensure they are risk assessed to work with children.

* The ability to demonstrate clear accuracy and efficiency of work alongside hitting time targets and KPIs

* Working closely with all members of the business to update them daily on each candidate's HR status

* Working with a team of other HR administrators to deliver market leading hr and safeguarding results

* Supporting and motivating the whole team

* Working with DFE guidelines alongside REC expectations

* Reviewing and checking documents to adhere to legal requirements

* Working on ongoing provision to keep each candidates hr status up to date

* Work with the management to maximise the team performance to help the business continue to grow

* Auditing files to ensure that team accuracy is at the expected standard

* Being involved with the company safeguarding processes and handling any child safety matters
