Building Safety Project Manager (Housing Association) - London

We are seeking a dedicated Building Safety Project Manager to join a leading Housing Association, focused on ensuring the highest standards of safety across a diverse property portfolio. This critical role will play a key part in shaping and delivering our approach to building safety, particularly as industry standards and regulations evolve.
In this role, you will manage and deliver projects within our annual programme of remedial works, directly supporting the Safer Building team. You'll collaborate with a variety of external specialist service providers, including legal, fire engineering, building consultancy, and contractor teams, to execute complex remediation programmes. Your work will be instrumental in driving compliance with new legislative and regulatory requirements, ensuring the safety of the homes we own and manage.
Key Responsibilities:
- Build effective working relationships with key stakeholders, including statutory bodies, commissioners, and legal advisors.
- Communicate clearly and effectively across a range of audiences.
- Use analytical skills to interpret management data, set targets, and track project progress to meet business and compliance objectives.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Degree in a relevant field (desirable).
- APM (PMQ) qualification (desirable).
- Minimum five years' experience managing complex multi-tenure schemes or remedial works projects, delivering on time and within budget.
- Strong analytical capabilities with a proven ability to make informed decisions based on financial and non-financial information.
- Skilled in negotiation and influencing, with a good understanding of Building Regulations, Building Control, and fire safety measures.
- Membership or eligibility for membership of a professional body (RICS, MCIOB, APM) is advantageous.
