You will be employed on a casual basis to supervise students during both mock and official exams, as needed throughout the school year. Working hours will vary based on the exam schedule. The role is based around Godalming GU8.

Description

The Key responsibilities for the Exam Invigilator are:

Ensure the security of exam papers and materials at all times, and return them as instructed.

Set up exam rooms in accordance with standard JCQ regulations.

Admit candidates into exam rooms, checking for any unauthorised items (e.g., mobile phones, pencil cases).

Respond to candidate queries without offering specific help or guidance.

Supervise candidates consistently, ensuring full compliance with regulatory standards.

Record and report any irregularities, including completing required documentation (e.g., late arrivals).

Collect exam scripts following the correct procedure and verify them against the attendance register.

Attend training sessions, including refresher and review meetings, or complete required online training.

Be prepared to invigilate computer-based or 'on-screen' assessments when necessary.

The successful Exam Invigilator candidate would need to have the following:

A good standard of Maths and English
Strong organisational and time management skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
Clear Voice
Ability to work in silence for a period of time
Be able to commute to Godalming and surrounding areas
