Speech and Language Therapist (Paediatrics)
Full Time Locum Contract

Located in Walsall
Our Private Client are recruiting a locum Speech and Language Therapist for their Independent Specialist Day School in Walsall.
The School meets the needs of a diverse group of pupils aged 8-16 with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, ADHD, Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), and a range of associated needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement individualised therapy plans tailored to each student's specific needs and EHCP (Education, Health and Care Plan) targets.
- Assess and identify the speech, language, and communication needs (SLCN) of pupils aged 8-16 with SEMH, ASD, ADHD, and related diagnoses.
- Collaborate closely with teaching staff, SENCOs, and other therapy professionals to integrate SLT strategies into the wider curriculum.
- Support classroom learning by advising on communication-friendly environments and strategies for behaviour linked to communication difficulties.
Requirements:
- Be a qualified Speech and Language Therapist registered with the HCPC.
- Experience working with children and young people with SEMH, ASD, ADHD, and associated neurodevelopmental needs.
