Ocean Import Operations Coordinator

Location: Central Birmingham

Salary: £30,000 - £33,000 (DOE)

Working Hours: Monday - Friday

Are you an experience Ocean Freight Forwarder, looking for a new opportunity to grow and develop with an established and highly regarded Freight Forwarder? Then this role could be for you!

My client is looking for an experienced Ocean Operations Coordinator to join their team based in Birmingham. The right candidate will have experience dealing with Ocean/Sea Freight operations, ideally with experience dealing with imports. Previous experience with pricing and negotiation with clients and hauliers will also be desirable.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage the day-to-day Ocean/Sea Freight operations, start-to-finish.
Raising Job files and all of the appropriate operations paperwork.
Extensive supplier and client liaison and negotiation.
Managing the jobs from quotation stage to final invoicing in line with the client expectations and communicating effectively any service issues.
Proactively contacting the existing clients to maximise business potential.Requirements:

Ocean freight operations experience is essential.
Import operations experience.
Customs experience.
Excellent customer service experience.
Ability to work with and support a team.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Excellent organisational skills and great attention to detail.
