Our client, a dynamic and expanding business, is seeking an experienced and motivated individual to join their accounts team as a Client Accountant, based in Reading. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the growth and strategy of a forward-thinking company.
Key Responsibilities:
- Client Reporting: Prepare accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, ensuring compliance with client agreements and company standards.
- Accounts Receivable & Payable: Oversee invoicing, payment collection, and vendor payments, maintaining accurate records.
- Service Charge Accounting: Manage the full service charge cycle, including budget preparation, tenant apportionments, and reconciliations.
- Reconciliations: Perform monthly bank reconciliations and resolve any discrepancies.
- Client Liaison: Act as the main point of contact for clients, handling any financial queries related to property accounts.
- Budgeting & Forecasting: Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and financial forecasts for client portfolios.
- Audit & Compliance: Support internal and external audits, ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards and regulations.
- Financial Controls: Ensure the integrity of all financial data, implementing best practices for financial control and reporting.
Key Requirements:
- Proven experience in commercial property accounting or similar.
- Strong knowledge of service charge accounting and property management software TRAMPS.
- Excellent attention to detail, with a track record of delivering accurate financial reports.
- Client-facing experience with the ability to communicate financial information clearly and effectively.
- A relevant accounting qualification (e.g., ACCA, CIMA, AAT) or equivalent experience.
