Description of the Role:
Simply Education is pleased to be working with a dynamic and supportive secondary school in Salford, Greater Manchester, to recruit a passionate and dedicated Secondary English Teacher. This full-time role involves teaching English across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to inspire and engage students, fostering a love of literature and language while helping them achieve their academic potential in GCSE English Language and Literature.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality, engaging English lessons for Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 students, ensuring they meet the curriculum objectives.
Develop creative and effective lesson plans that encourage a love of reading, writing, and literature.
Assess student progress regularly, providing constructive feedback and individual support to help students achieve their potential.
Differentiate lessons to cater to the diverse needs of students, ensuring that all learners are challenged and supported.
Maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment where students feel confident and motivated to participate.
Foster high standards of behavior and effort, creating a culture of respect and academic excellence.
Collaborate with colleagues in the English department and across the school to develop resources and share best practices.
Maintain accurate records of student progress, assessments, and achievements.
Communicate regularly with parents and carers to provide updates on student progress and discuss strategies for improvement.
Participate in school events, staff meetings, and professional development opportunities to further enhance your teaching practice.

Applicant Requirements:

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
Experience teaching English at Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4.
Strong knowledge of the English curriculum and GCSE English Language and Literature requirements.
A passion for teaching English and a commitment to inspiring students to achieve their best.
Excellent classroom management skills and the ability to engage and motivate students.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Enhanced DBS check (we can assist with this if necessary).
