About Us

Future Care Horizons is dedicated to transforming children's care in Yorkshire. We provide a safe, structured, and nurturing environment for children aged 7 to 18 with complex needs, learning disabilities, communication difficulties, and neurodevelopmental disabilities.

We believe that with the right support, children can achieve meaningful outcomes. That's why we are looking for compassionate, resilient, and dedicated individuals to join our team. While experience in residential childcare is beneficial, it is not essential. We offer full training in Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) to help you succeed. More than experience, we value patience, empathy, and a commitment to helping young people thrive.

The Role

Support workers play an essential role in helping young people develop confidence, independence, and life skills. This includes assisting with daily routines, supporting education, and encouraging social development. A key part of the role is building strong, trusting relationships with young people while maintaining a structured and consistent approach.

Responsibilities also include contributing to care plans and risk assessments, working with families and external professionals, and ensuring the home remains a safe, clean, and welcoming space. This role requires flexibility, problem-solving, and the ability to remain calm under pressure. No two days are the same, but every day is an opportunity to make a difference.

Requirements

* Level 3/4 Diploma in Children's Care (or willingness to train)

* Experience in residential childcare is preferred but not essential

* Ability to build positive relationships and support young people with complex needs

* Flexibility to work shifts, including evenings, weekends, and sleep-ins

* A full UK driving licence is desirable but not essential

* Applicants must be 21 or over due to industry regulations

Why Join Us?

* Fully funded Level 4 Diploma in Children's Care

* Enhanced pay for bank holidays

* Opportunities for career progression in a growing organisation

* Free meals while on shift and access to a discretionary food bank

* Monthly recognition awards and a supportive team culture

* Comprehensive induction, ongoing training, and professional development
