Salary: £50,000 - £55,000 per annum

Manufacturing business based in the Widnes area requires a Finance Manager for their growing team. Reporting to the UK Head of Finance this is an excellent role for someone with a Manufacturing business who is looking to work in a growing business.

Duties of the role will include:

  • Support the delivery of all external and internal reporting requirements of the company
  • Monitor the day-to-day financial operations within the business, including accounts payable, accounts receivable and fixed assets
  • Ensure the accurate recording and reconciliation of all financial data within deadlines.
  • VAT return preparation and submission and HMRC processes
  • Lead, mentor, and manage Finance Officer, providing guidance and training to develop and maintain the highest quality accounting habits and disciplines
  • Manage the Finance function (FI) of company's reporting systems (SAP) and Process expert responsibilities
  • Perform Internal controls and look to make improvements to procedures and controls especially in operation controlling
  • Supporting Head of Finance in the development and sharing best practice across the business, policies and procedures
  • Managing an audit process of current systems - while acting as the first point of contact for external auditors
  • Responsible for tax reporting
  • Other ad hoc duties as required in a hands-on varied role
  • Support Head of Finance with other ad-hoc duties or special projects on a timely basis

The right candidate will be;

  • Full or part qualified CIMA, ACCA, ACA or equivalent
  • Experience in Corporate tax reporting, VAT return
  • Experience in accounting and financial reporting and SAP Finance function preferably through implementation/transition
  • Strong technical accounting knowledge
  • Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy
  • Strong analytical skills and process-oriented mind set
  • Excellent communication skills both written and oral
  • Strong team player and ability to thrive and work independently in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
  • Focus on continuous improvement, driving process change and enhancing the financial control environment.
  • Excellence in the use of MS office products
