A well-established and growing business based in Stockton-on-Tees is looking for an experienced Accountant to join its finance team.

This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a friendly, fast-paced environment, ideally suited to someone with experience in a family-run or owner-managed business.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date company accounts using Sage Line 50
• Prepare monthly accounts up to trial balance
• Assist with year-end preparation
• Process payroll on Sage, including RTI submissions & P45 generation
• Manage payroll year-end and submit relevant reports
• Handle payment runs and manage the purchase ledger
• Oversee credit control and audit the sales ledger
• Perform daily cashbook reconciliations and bank reconciliations
• Manage cash flow & forecasting
• Provide support for monthly financial reporting

Requirements:

• Strong Excel skills and Sage Line 50 knowledge
• Proven experience in a similar finance/accounting role
• A proactive and adaptable mindset

Salary: £30,000 - £35,000 (negotiable based on experience)
