Reporting To: Maintenance Manager

Role overview:

As a Maintenance Engineer within our client's business, you will maintain all manufacturing plant, equipment and facilities in good working order. Also, as a Maintenance Engineer you will improve equipment reliability by increasing the mean time between failure (MTBF) while reducing the mean time to repair (MTTR).

Main Duties:

Carry out repairs to all types of plant and equipment in a safe and professional manner.
Assist in the development of planned preventative maintenance schedules (PPM).
Carry out PPM schedules as necessary and planned works orders as required.
Assist visiting specialist engineers when necessary.
Report breakdown root cause, equipment faults and concerns to line Manager.
Perform troubleshooting to solve minor repair issues.
Make full use of CMMS.
Plan/prioritize workload to support production and ensure efficient use of working time.
Assist in the meeting of daily production plan.
Fill in job tickets/ CMMS on completion of work accurately and in a timely manner.
Typical example of work would be to respond to maintenance request for equipment fault, diagnose fault, repair and return equipment to operational service.
All work to be carried out operating in a safe and efficient manner. (a process of dynamic risk assessments operated).
Identify spares requirements, log usage and aid in control.
Assist in the moving, installation and repositioning of machines and equipment.
All communication requirements to be conducted in a professional, positive and clear manner.
Ability to communicate at all levels of the business.
To work as part of the team in which they are a member, suggesting ways to continually improve in a creative and inspirational manner and to have a positive, example setting approach to all challenges.
Balances team and individual responsibilities sharing expertise with others.
To provide guidance and support to individuals to achieve personal aims.Health and Safety, Environment and Housekeeping:

To ensure any process change or improvement complies with all relevant health and safety policies.Position Requirements:

Minimum C&G in Electrical and Mechanical.
Food Industry background or transferable skills.

Personal Performance-

To ensure line performance is optimised.
To communicate all issues to team leader/shift Production Manager.
Services breakdown to notify Maintenance and Production Managers immediately.
Maintenance and Production Managers must be notified of any stoppages lasting one hour or more.Customer Focus-
