Are you an experienced Finance Business Partner with a strong background in local government? We are seeking a skilled professional to join the London Borough of Bexley on an interim basis, covering the Finance Business Partner role for Finance & Corporate Services.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide strategic financial support across Finance & Property, HR, and ICT.
- Lead financial advice on revenue and capital monitoring, budget setting, and closing processes.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with service leadership teams, ensuring financial insight supports decision-making.
- Work closely with stakeholders to ensure the best use of financial resources.
- Ensure financial reporting and data analytics support long-term financial planning.
- Manage and motivate a team of up to 6 FTE, providing professional guidance and support.
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations and governance requirements.
- Deputise for the Head of Finance Business Partnering as required.
Requirements:- Extensive experience as a Finance Business Partner within a local government setting.
- Strong knowledge of financial regulations and local government accounting.
- Proven track record in budget setting, financial monitoring, and year-end closing processes.
- Ability to provide strategic financial advice to senior stakeholders.
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
- Experience with financial systems such as Integra is desirable.
