Role: Exchequer Manager (Finance)

Sellick Partnership are exclusively recruiting an Exchequer Manager for a council based in the East Midlands.

Job summary: Exchequer Manager

To provide support and advice for a number of the Council's responsibilities and in particular to act as the Council's key advisor on the Financial Management System, Transactional Banking, Debtors, Cash Income, Creditors and Insurance matters.
To analyse and report on key financial data within the organisation ensuring that managers receive timely, accurate and relevant information. Key responsibilities: Exchequer Manager

Manage, develop and motivate staff
Supervise and support the Accounting Technician
Supervise and support Accounts Payable, Receivable, and Cash Income functions
Preparation of the Councils annual insurance renewal
Preparation of the Councils budget for Insurance
Maintenance, governance and development of the financial management system
Insurance management for the Council
Review and approve allocated monthly balance sheet reconciliations
Take the lead in ensuring that all Balance Sheet Reconciliations are complete on a monthly basis
Complete statutory claim forms and statistical returns Person specification: Exchequer Manager

Qualified AAT or equivalent
