The opportunity
A fantastic opportunity has opened up for an experienced Project Manager to report to the Projects Group Director, the Project Manager shall be responsible for the evaluation, planning and execution of Capital Project delivery of selected Waste Recovery, Chemical, Nuclear or Energy Project as assigned. 

The role
As the Project Manager you will be responsible for the Financial, Schedule, Health, Safety, Environmental, and Quality performance throughout the Project Life Cycle.

Located in Knutsford, Cheshire and on site (Liverpool Docks)
Rate: £45-60Ltd per hour (subject to an ir35 assessment)
Duration 24 months   

You will share your time between the office near Knutsford and on site (Liverpool Docks). Large construction project of a Palm Olive production facility.

Your duties and responsibilities will be
To manage Project development from initiation through to closure (successful operation).
To be accountable for Project results to the Project Sponsor and Senior Management.
To work with the Project Sponsor and Stakeholders to develop Project Execution and Quality Plan outlining Scope of Work, Deliverables, Resources, Budget, Schedule and Risk Profiles.
To develop Project Schedule to identify when each activity shall be undertaken.
To develop Project Risk Register and manage the risks accordingly.
To clearly communicate expectations to each Project Team member and Stakeholders.
To act as mediator between Stakeholders and Project Team members.
To resolve issues and solve problems throughout the Project Life Cycle.
To effectively manage the Project Scope of Work by ensuring that any change in scope is identified early, documented and approved using the company's Project Change Procedures.
To track and report on Project Milestones and progress, provide weekly and monthly reports to all Stakeholders.
To lead, coach and motivate Project Team members on a proactive basis.
To determine how results shall be measured (KPI's) and complete Post Project Evaluation with Stakeholders to determine how well results were achieved.
To develop new tools and Best Practices for Project Management and Execution with the Quality Manager.
To cultivate a culture of continuous improvement, learning and self-development.
To assist with preparation or estimates, proposals and tenders for new potential Clients.You will have the following qualifications and experience 
Ideally educated to a degree level and a Chartered Engineer / Manager.
Have significant experience in either chemical, nuclear, oil & gas, petrochemicals, energy or renewable energy industries.
Have significant experience of working in a design, engineering and construction environment at FEED and EPC(M) phases of the project.
An ability to think strategically and develop long range plans, understanding the implication of changes to scope.
An ability to work collaboratively with commercial, financial, R&D and all engineering design, construction, and commissioning disciplines.
Experience of managing and building a team of engineers, designers, inspectors, suppliers and sub-contractors.
Knowledge and Experience of Designer, Principal Designer and Principal Contractor Roles under CDM.
Knowledge and understanding of different forms of Contract (IChemE, NEC, FIDIC etc).
Experience in working in and managing multi-discipline teams.
Experience in managing stakeholder relationships in a management role.
Clear and concise communication in both written and verbal form with excellent people management and interpersonal skills.
Eligible to live and work in the UK.
Full UK/EEC driving licence.It's great if you also have the following 
APM qualified with ongoing CPD.
Operations Experience in the Waste, Chemicals or Energy Sector.
