Part time Executive Assistant / Governance Administrator - Northampton (hybrid)

Salary up to £26k FTE plus benefits

We are working in partnership with a renowned and much-loved national charity on their appointment of a Part Time Executive Assistant / Governance Administrator (30hrs / week) to join the organisation ideally to start w/c 4th November on a temp to perm basis. Working closely with an engaging and dynamic CEO and the Governance Manager, this is a significant and important role to assist in the governance leadership of the charity. The role will be based on site in Northampton on average once a week but flexibility around this is required.

As Executive Assistant / Governance Administrator, your role will include:


• Support the Governance Manager with the preparation, collation and distribution of agendas, meeting information packs, minutes and reports and managing subsequent actions for board and committee meetings.


• Provide support for diary management of the Board of Trustees.


• Provide full administration duties as required for the effective running of the committees and Board.


• Coordinate the logistical arrangement of meetings between trustees and members of the Executive Leadership Team.


• Support the Governance Manager on the planning and running of the Annual General Meeting, trustee elections and trustee induction programme.


• Maintain a good understanding of the need to work with effective policies and procedures, sustained within a robust review process.


• Support the organisation of trustees attending Association events.

As an experienced Executive Assistant, you will have:


• Proactive and confident with the ability to work under pressure and manage conflicting priorities. Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality and diplomacy at all times.


• Strong IT skills (MS Office - Word, Excel, SharePoint, and Outlook) and a quick typer, ideally with touch typing skills.


• Excellent interpersonal skills supported by strong written and oral communication skills.


• Flexibility with occasional travel and some evening and weekend work.
