Assistant Accountant

MERJE have partnered with a well-established property / development Business based in the Northwest who specialises predominantly in multi-let industrial property. Looking to recruit an experienced Assistant Accountant for their offices based in Bury.

As the Assistant Accountant, you will report directly to the Financial Controller, forming part of a 3-person team running the administration and Finance for the company.

You be responsible for preparing monthly management accounts and assisting the Financial Controller with the preparation of the annual audit file for group companies and LLP’s. You will also be responsible for monthly bank and credit card reconciliations, control account reconciliations, and annual service charge reconciliation and budget preparation. Key Responsibilities:


• Prepare monthly management accounts for group companies and LLP’s
• Assist FC with the preparation of the annual audit file for group companies and LLP’s
• Monthly bank and credit card reconciliations
• Control account reconciliations
• Annual service charge reconciliation and budget preparation
• Cashflow management
• Sales ledger review
• Purchase ledger review
• Manage monthly utility readings
• Update and review of utility spreadsheet
• Carry out any ad hoc duties as assigned by the FC
• Provide cover in the absence of the Accounts Assistant
• Review admin mailbox Requirements:


• AAT Qualified OR QBE with min 1 years Management Accounting experience
• Experience with financial software such as Xero and property software such as Re-Leased is an advantage but not required
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
• Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks Salary and Benefits:


• Salary: Up to £33,000 per annum (DOE)
