Equifind is partnering with a dynamic, high-growth retail company based in London. As they prepare to expand into the U.S. market, they are seeking a commercially astute Finance Director to support the CEO and leadership team.

Reporting directly to the CEO, this high-impact role will be instrumental in shaping the company’s future and accelerating its growth trajectory. The ideal candidate will have broad exposure across the business and play a pivotal role in driving key commercial and strategic decisions.

Key duties include:

  • Develop and execute financial strategies that align with business objectives, driving sustainable growth and profitability.
  • Lead budgeting, forecasting, and financial modelling to provide data-driven insights and support strategic decision-making.
  • Ensure strong financial controls and compliance, maintaining accurate reporting and adherence to tax regulations and industry standards.
  • Manage cash flow, liquidity, and working capital to optimize financial stability and support business expansion.
  • Collaborate with store operations and other departments to drive revenue growth, improve cost efficiency, and enhance overall financial performance.
  • Oversee stakeholder relations, including investors, banks, auditors, and tax authorities, ensuring transparency and confidence in financial reporting.

Application requirements:

  • ACA audit-trained accountant.
  • Proven experience in a senior finance leadership role.
  • Minimum of 10 years experience in financial reporting role.
  • Strong technical expertise with knowledge of US and UK GAAP reporting standards.
  • Experience in team management, including recruitment, training, and performance appraisals.
  • Background in retail or multi-site businesses.
