Are you an aspiring Town Planner with a passion for shaping sustainable communities and creating thriving urban spaces? We are currently recruiting for an Assistant Town Planner to join a highly respected planning consultancy based in Bristol.

As an Assistant Town Planner, you will have the opportunity to work on a diverse range of projects, from residential developments to urban regeneration initiatives. You will play a key role in supporting the planning team in delivering high-quality planning applications and strategic advice for clients. This is a fantastic opportunity for a recent graduate or someone with up to 2 years' experience in planning to develop their skills in a dynamic, supportive environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assisting with the preparation and submission of planning applications, including gathering and reviewing relevant documentation.
  • Supporting senior planners in providing advice on land use, policy, and development opportunities.
  • Conducting research and analysis of planning policies, guidelines, and site-specific constraints.
  • Preparing and presenting reports, presentations, and planning documents.
  • Engaging with clients, local authorities, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth project delivery.

Requirements:

  • A degree in Town Planning, Urban Planning, or a related field (RTPI accreditation is a plus).
  • A genuine interest in planning and development, with an enthusiasm for contributing to urban transformation.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with an ability to build relationships.
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (knowledge of GIS or other planning software would be advantageous).
