We are advertising on behalf of Wingers in Stafford for Management staff. They are opening a new store and looking for assistant managers to join their Kitchen & Store Teams. They are passionate about customer service and NEED YOU to help deliver a great customer experience.

We are an exciting new, expanding fried chicken brand that started over lockdown and has grown to a number of locations regionally. We are one of the most respected takeaway brands in the local area. We run a simple menu and operation which allows us to maximise our quality and service, creating a #TOP-NOTCH experience for our customers. We cannot do any of this without an enthusiastic team in our kitchens to create this experience.

The assistant Store Manager is responsible for most of the operations that happen on site. These responsibilities include:

- Managing Kitchen team members and FOH staff.

- Supervising food preparation and cooking procedures.

- Hands on role including team member duties

(cooking food, serving food, customer service and cleaning when necessary)

- Managing our opening/closing stock inventory.

- Keeping a fully stocked kitchen at all times. This will involve ordering stock to a controlled level.

- Complying & Following our strict health and safety procedures.

- Responsible for keeping cleanliness to the highest standard.

- Check cooking/holding temperatures throughout the day.

- Establishing a rota and schedule shifts for your kitchen team.

- Training new/current kitchen staff on any prep, cooking procedures, and front-of- house operations.

- Ensuring all food is stored and labelled in compliance with our practices.

- Keeping track of daily and weekly costs and sales figures.

- Dealing with any customer issues or queries in a professional manner.

- Ensuring there is a tidy and well organised front of house.

A successful store assistant manager will be available to work many different shifts from weekends, weekdays, mornings or evenings, late mornings, afternoons or evenings.

It is important you can have your eye on the restaurant's day-to-day operations.

Keeping a close eye on your staff and ensuring they are well trained and cooperating with each other is key to providing a great overall experience for our customers.

Ensuring clear communication across the store, as it will keep things working efficiently. Staff morale needs to be kept at a high at all times, this should be reviewed on a regular basis.

This is a very fast paced, customer facing role. The ability to work at speed, under pressure, and provide exceptional customer service is essential.

- Experience in a kitchen is preferred

- Experience serving customers is essential

- Experience leading a team is not essential but beneficial

- Experience with stock taking and ordering is not essential but beneficial

- Ability to carry out any task in the working environment.

- Familiarity with food safety and hygiene standards is not essential but beneficial

- Confidence, communication and organisational skills are essential

- A motivated person who can keep their team upbeat and motivated in a busy working environment.

- Flexibility in working weekdays and weekends is essential

- A hands-on management style is essential
