Extra Recruitment are currently recruiting for a Shift Engineer for one of our clients based in Birmingham. As the Shift Engineer, you will be in charge of carrying out routine planned maintenance schedules, targeting a reduction in downtime and reporting everything directly to the Engineering Manager.

Shift Engineer Responsibilities:

Implement the company's Health and Safety Policy, ensuring safe working conditions and practices in the throughout the site.

Complete projects and development as required.

To ensure company resources are used in an effective manner to ensure most effective operating costs and optimise workloads for all staff.

To ensure that Health and Safety rules and regulations are adhered to

To encourage a culture whereby machines are maintained and cleaned by operators

Reduce downtime of equipment

Shift Engineer Details:

Salary: £37,000 PA

Location: Birmingham

Schedule: 2 week rotation (6:30am-6:30pm)

Week 1: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Saturday and Sunday

Week 2: Thursday and Friday

Shift Engineer Requirements:

ILM Level 3 -5 desired

ONC/HNC engineering qualification or equivalent

Detailed knowledge of PLC programming/fault finding

Numerate and ability to communicate; verbal and written.

Computer literate.

Total consideration for the smooth and efficient operation of the site
