About the Role The Director of Safety & Security is responsible for the practical application of safety and security measures for guests and associates throughout the building. You will develop, implement, and oversee all policies and procedures to ensure the well-being of guests and associates. Acting as the principal point of contact for licensing, police and investigations, this individual is a proactive thinker and works strategically to provide a safe environment without impacting the guest experience.
- Responsible for overseeing our security department, ensuring all physical security and licensing compliance
- Ensure compliance with all Corporate Loss Prevention safety and security management guidelines and procedures.
- Lead the strategic and day to day security, ensuring the security of all members, staff, and property, always with the aim of an exceptional experience
- Positively drive and improve safety and security culture, leading by example and developing a highly effective security team
- Act as main point of contact and lead on all security, licensing, and security incident investigations, managing safety incidents where required
- Create and annually update security and licensing policies, procedures, and security risk assessments
- Develop our security plans and continuously identify areas of risk and improvement
- Act as main point of contact for our relationship with police, licensing authorities, and noise nuisance enforcement officers
- Oversee CCTV and alarm maintenance contracts in collaboration with Director of Engineering
- Create and deliver innovative training on licensing requirements, capacities, incident management, escalation and reporting, conflict management, and responsible service of alcohol for all team members
About you- You hold a SIA licence and level 3 fire certification
- 5 years of experience leading a security team in a luxury environment
- Proactive and a quick thinker, you are thinking strategically about continuous improvement
- Desires collaboration and cohesion among associates and team
- Preferably you'll have had expose of experience of being part of a pre-opening team.
