the role.

A wonderful and varied role working for a small, successful company based in Cambridge. You will be part of a growing team and have the chance to learn multiple products and have some wonderful client and supplier relationships.

The company work to provide products and solutions to clients within the electronics industry, the products are large and complex and customers always require demonstrations and sometimes tests on capabilities before purchase. To this end, the client has recently moved into wonderful new premises where they have a full demonstration facility downstairs and all the office / support upstairs with engineers out on the road across the UK and further afield.

This is a newly created position due to the promotion internally, this role too comes with lots of potential for development in your career.

To start with, day to day, you will be supporting the business's programming and testing side, you will become a technical expert on the product range and eventually use this knowledge to attend product demonstrations at clients' premises or in-house (with a sales manager). Develop tests in preparation for customer testing, and support the installation of systems on site.

Attitude and teamwork are key in this small team who always support each other within their roles. For this particular role, we need good electronics testing background, it would be an ideal for someone just starting out in their electronics career, but also fantastic for someone really knowledgeable who could learn quickly. Due to the location and the requirement to travel to other sites you will need a driver's licence.

Attention to detail is key in this role and the ability to take responsibility. It goes without saying that excellent IT, communication and organisations skills are essential as well as the ability to create solid relationships with your customers and suppliers.
