CLASS 1 DRIVER - DAYS

MONDAY - FRIDAY: 06.00 - 08.00 START TIMES

£15.50 PER HOUR BASIS

£17.00 PER HOUR OVERTIME

People Solutions are currently recruiting for a Class 1 Day Driver to join our well-established client based in Macclesfield.

This is a fantastic opportunity to work for a well-known freight transporter of palletised goods, with plenty of ongoing work available.

Day to Day Duties

Your duties as a Class 1 Driver will involve but not limited to:

• Ensure that you arrive at your job on time, informing the traffic office of any issues
• Ensure you complete daily vehicle checks to make sure your vehicle is roadworthy and safe to use
• Drive/operate Class 1 vehicles safely and efficiently to complete all deliveries and collections as manifested

Essential Skills

As a Class 1 Driver you will need to:

• Hold a valid UK CE Licence 
• Have a minimum of 12 months experience driving a CE vehicles
• No more than six penalty points for minor infringements and no major endorsement codes
• Have a valid UK CPC Card and UK Digi Card
• Must be able to speak and read a good level of English
• Punctuality and excellent time keeping skills
• Effective communication skills
• Flexibility and availability to work overtime as and when required
• Ability to work under pressure and adhere to deadlines

Desirable Experience

• Experience driving any commercial vehicles would be beneficial

Training

• Training provided on first shift
