Facilities Coordinator

• Reports to: Director of Estates
• Location: Coulsdon, South Croydon
• Salary: up to £35k per annum
• Type: Full-time, onsite (not hybrid/remote)

Dovetail and Slate are recruiting on behalf of a leading education provider based in Coulsdon, South Croydon.

Job Purpose

• Supervise a team responsible for maintaining and repairing buildings and facilities.
• Ensure maintenance work is completed safely, efficiently, and to a high standard.
• Oversee safety procedures, emergency responses, and contractor management.

Main Duties

• Lead and manage a team handling maintenance tasks like plumbing, carpentry, and repairs.
• Ensure all repairs and maintenance are completed on time and meet quality standards.
• Oversee health and safety compliance, ensuring risk assessments are carried out.
• Act as the main contact for emergency repairs, coordinating quick responses.
• Use the helpdesk system to track and prioritise maintenance requests.
• Supervise contractors and ensure they follow safety rules and complete work properly.

Requirements

• Facilities or estates management experience
• Relevant qualification (e.g., IOSH, NEBOSH).
• Strong organisational and leadership skills
• Clean D1 driving license
• Willing to do an Enahnced DBS check
