We're excited to welcome a dedicated and enthusiastic Maths Teacher to our Wigan team! In this fulfilling position, you'll guide and inspire KS3 and KS4 students as they progress through their mathematical learning. You'll earn a competitive daily rate of £155 to £230, tailored to your qualifications, experience, and teaching abilities.
Your role involves delivering dynamic and engaging lessons to students, ensuring they grasp core concepts while fostering a positive and inclusive classroom environment. You will inspire students to approach challenges with confidence, using practical applications to make maths relevant and accessible. You will assess and track student progress, offering personalised feedback and support to help each learner succeed.

Responsibilities:
- Creating a positive learning environment through professionally planned lessons and classroom displays
- Using imagination and innovation to enhance the learning experience in children
- Having control over the whole class and maintaining discipline
- Adhering to the curriculum, including up to date changes in the structure
- Use assessment data to inform lesson planning
- Set homework and mark promptly
- Ensure a high quality of teaching and learning takes place
- Deal with immediate problems/emergencies according to school policy and procedures
- Strong knowledge of the curriculum
- Punctual and reliable

- Managing behaviour of pupils whilst undertaking work to ensure a constructive environment
- Strong classroom management

Personal Attributes:
- You will have a genuine passion for teaching
- Experience up to key stage 3/4
- QTS/PGCE equivalent
- Be flexible and committed
