We are proud to be a part of Shaw Trust Group, a charity helping to transform the lives of young people and adults across the UK.

It is essential that you hold a QCF level 3 qualification in children's residential care or hold an equivalent qualification or be part way through.

The home currently supports two young people - ages 14 and 17: both like taking part of a variety of activities such as baking, listening to audio books, going out for drives and walks, going to the cinema etc.

Previous experience supporting individuals with ADHD / Autism would be an advantage, however, is not essential. The home is not close to any transport links; therefore, drivers are essential.

As a Senior Support Worker, you will support the management team and have responsibility for leading a shift, directing roles and responsibilities to support workers and ensuring the monitoring of children and young people's behaviour, safety, and well-being. You will also ensure accurate record keeping is maintained at all times.

Effective communication skills, along with the ability to build relationships with others are vital! We are looking for an individual who can lead by example, uphold standards, and ensure that the safeguarding of children and young people underpins all decisions made.

If you thrive on variety, where every day is different but is equally rewarding, this could be the perfect opportunity for you. With smaller homes and high staff-to-young-person ratios, you will have the chance to build meaningful relationships and make a tangible difference.

Not only will you be working for the largest, charitably owned residential children's home provider in the UK, we will offer extensive training, along with the opportunity to complete funded Residential Childcare qualifications as well as long term career development within the company.

What you'll bring:
