We are looking for a Customer Account Manager to take ownership of an existing portfolio of clients, with a focus on retention, relationship management, and account growth. This role involves delivering outstanding customer service, aligning with the broader business strategy, and supporting targeted campaigns to drive account development.

Must have a valid driving licence!

Benefits:

Salary: up to £35,000 + commission (22% of salary)
Location: Smethwick + Field based
Hours of work: Monday to Friday 8am to 4pm 37.5 hours per week
4 days field based 1 day office based
Travel between Derby and Oxford encompassing all areas in between
Free onsite parking
33 days annual leave including bank holidaysKey Responsibilities

Manage a portfolio of customer accounts, ensuring high levels of retention and satisfaction.
4 days field based 1 day office based - travel as far as Derby and Oxford and all areas inbetween
Minimum of 8 visits per week booked and attended all existing clients!
Analyse feedback, complaints, and lost business data to develop effective action plans.
Identify opportunities for cross-selling and upselling products or services.
Create and maintain Customer Account Plans to assess risks and uncover growth opportunities.
Collaborate with internal department to address needs of the customer.
Support the achievement of revenue and growth targets within the assigned customer base.
Develop and implement strategies to secure additional business within existing accounts.
Serve as the primary point of contact for customer-related issues and communications.
Proactively understand and anticipate customer needs and future requirements.
Ensure service delivery aligns with agreed quality standards and service level agreements.
Monitor and analyse customer data to forecast trends and identify opportunities or risks.
Address outstanding payment issues, working toward mutually beneficial resolutions.
Evaluate account profitability and suggest improvements or service enhancements.Skills & Experience

Previous experience in an Account Manager role
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders.
Proven ability to upsell to existing clients
Analytical mindset with excellent attention to detail.
A proactive approach to identifying areas for improvement and implementing changes.
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage time and priorities effectively.
Ability to collaborate cross-functionally across teams and locations.
