SEND Teacher

Pertemps are currently working with an award winning Trust recruiting for an experience SEN Teacher to work in their new SEND provision that supports primary children with complex needs.

The Role:

As a SEND Teacher you will work as part of a team to deliver high quality learning opportunities that meet the individual needs of the children. Each class will have between 8 and 10 children and the teaching and learning will be supported by two Teaching Assistants. You will also work with the Inclusion Leader and Leader of Primary Education to further develop the new SEND provision, strategically supporting the growth of the setting and working with outside partners.

The large school is an oversubscribed inclusive mixed secondary school in Tower Hamlets. A real community school with very high expectations of pupils and staff alike. They are part of a Trust that oversees 4 other secondary schools in London. They offer training and development to all staff to ensure excellent career development.

What are we looking for?

As a Primary SEND Teacher you will be expected to have experience teaching at this level with excellent classroom practice in providing outstanding education for SEND children. You will be expected to also have experience of working alongside a SENDCo. You will need to have an ability to write and review high quality learning support plans and working alongside parents.

You will need:

* Current DBS on the update service

* 2 references covering the past 2 years.

* Qualified Teacher Status.

* Good honours degree or equivalent.

* Evidence of ongoing Safeguarding training.

* Right to work in the UK.

* Evidence of commitment to further professional development within SEND.

What's on Offer?

This is a full time role, 36 hours per week, term time only and permanent. It is to start this September. The pay is to scale depending on experience from M1 - UPS3 (£34,513 - £51,177) + SEN Allowance £2,700 gross per annum.
