Avanti are working with an industrial technology services company based in Sheffield who are at the forefront of innovation in their market, delivering solutions that empower businesses to optimize equipment operations for enhanced efficiency and reduced costs. Their technology is used by some of the world's largest equipment operators to reduce maintenance costs, and improve equipment uptime.

Salary: Up to £60k

Main Responsibilities:

  6. Vendor Management:
    • Oversee everything related to production, including managing stock, planning, logistics, and purchasing.
    • Ensure that customer orders are fulfilled efficiently.
    • Handle all aspects of the mechanical design of products, using tools like 3D CAD and 2D drawings.
    • Manage the engineering changes and maintain detailed technical design files.
    • Ensure that products comply with specific safety standards (ATEX, IECEx, etc.).
    • Lead audits to maintain these certifications.
    • Maintain the company's Quality Management System (QMS) to keep ISO 9001 accreditation.
    • Create and update standard operating procedures (SOPs), risk assessments, and other necessary documentation.
    • Contribute to new product ideas and manage the mechanical aspects of new product introductions (NPI).
    • Manage relationships with suppliers and vendors, including conducting audits.
Required Skills and Experience:
  • At least 3 years of experience in production management, including handling stock, planning, and product lifecycle management.
  • Experience in mechanical design, particularly of electro-mechanical products.
  • Knowledge and experience with products meant for hazardous locations, ensuring they meet specific compliance standards.
  • Experience in managing people, including training and performance reviews.
  • Ability to create and maintain company procedures.
Desirable Skills:
  • Familiarity with ARENA PLM software.
  • Detailed knowledge of relevant safety standards and directives (IEC BS EN #removed# & ATEX Directive 2014/34/EU).
  • Experience with technical drawings and replacement of electronic components.
  • Technical knowledge of sensors.
