We have an exciting opportunity for an Assistant Development Manager to join our team within Vistry Home Counties, at our office in Takeley, Bishops Stortford. As our Assistant Development Manager, you will support the wider team in the efficient running of the development and key technical functions. Ensure allocated Company developments are processed and controlled with appropriate detail and due diligence to add and protect value and to satisfy financial performance criteria, project budgets and programme requirements.

    • To support the pre-construction process via the project team from option to completion
    • Capable of working in a team of people and coordinating the different contributors to a project

    • Ability to effectively negotiate, motivate and communicate to influence others to ensure that the required programmes are met
    • A general background knowledge in property combined with a relevant qualification
    • To undertake any other duties as deemed necessary from time to time
    • Assist the Technical Team in preparing and submitting ELT notes
    • A general background knowledge in property combined with a relevant qualification
    • Experience in a Development Graduate role or similar
    • Ability to work well with others in the wider team
    • Willingness to travel to sites across a wide geography

    • To support the Major Projects division and Technical Team in the efficient running of the development and Technical function. To support the delivery process for the project from option to completion and handover.
    • To support the Major Projects division and Technical Team in their responsibility to ensure overall financial viability of the development is maintained and always controlled.
    • To support the Technical Team in their responsibility to ensure overall legal requirements are met for a development, including Section 106, Section 278, Section 38, and Section 104’s and any contractual obligations required.
    • To support the Technical Team and Planning Team in their responsibility to ensure planning consent is secured and the discharge of any planning conditions.
    • To support the Technical Team in their responsibility to secure internal governance approval.
    • To assist the Major Projects division in the progress of potential new developments or phases through the technical, legal, planning, financial, contractual, and detailed design.
