BOS Lead Auditor - Contract Position (Inside IR35)

Location: West Midlands, UK

Duration: 9-month initial contract (high likelihood of extension)

Status: Inside IR35

Rate: Competitive (subject to PAYE deductions)

A leading manufacturing business in the West Midlands is seeking a skilled BOS (Business Operating System) Lead Auditor to join their team on a contract basis. This is an inside IR35 position, offering a 9-month initial contract.

As an inside IR35 contractor, you will be considered an employee for tax purposes, with Income Tax and National Insurance contributions deducted at source. You may be entitled to certain statutory employment benefits and company perks typically provided to employees.

Key Responsibilities:

Conduct comprehensive audits of the Business Operating System across all departments
Assess the effectiveness of internal controls and identify areas for improvement
Develop and implement risk-focused audit plans
Lead a team of junior auditors in executing audit activities
Prepare detailed audit reports and present findings to senior management
Collaborate with various departments to establish and maintain control frameworks
Ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices
Provide recommendations for process improvements and risk mitigation strategies

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in business, Finance, or related field
Certified Lead Auditor qualification (ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, and IATF 16949)
Minimum 5 years of experience in auditing roles, preferably in manufacturing environments
Strong knowledge of Business Operating Systems and internal control frameworks
Extensive experience with IATF 16949, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, and ISO 9001 standards
Proven track record of conducting integrated management system audits
Working knowledge of industry-standard tools including FMEA, APQP, PPAP, MSA, SPC, DoE, GD&T, and 8D
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
Outstanding communication and leadership abilities

Preferred Skills:

Experience with lean manufacturing principles
Familiarity with quality management systems
Knowledge of risk management and compliance regulations in the manufacturing sector
Understanding of environmental management systems and occupational health and safety standards
Experience in automotive industry quality standards and processes
