Join Our Team at Careermakers! - TA / Learning Support Assistant

Careermakers is on the lookout for a dynamic and compassionate Teaching Assistant / Learning Support Assistant to make a meaningful impact at an independent school in Partington, supporting children and young adults on their educational journeys.

What You'll Do:

* Engage with Students: Provide personalized learning support, whether 1:1 or in small groups, in the classroom or community setting.

* Make a Difference: Develop a deep understanding of each pupil's unique needs, collaborating with the Lead Teacher and external agencies to ensure they thrive.

* Shape the Curriculum: Assist in planning and preparing engaging, curriculum-focused activities for the pupils.

* Foster Play: Support safe, interactive play while encouraging students to explore and participate in fun and enriching activities.

* Inspire and Motivate: Help pupils overcome challenges and boost their confidence to actively engage, even in new or daunting tasks.

Who We're Looking For:

Qualifications:

* GCSE or O-levels in English and Maths (Grade C or above).

* A strong desire to grow professionally and pursue further development opportunities.

Experience & Knowledge:

* Proven experience working with children in educational settings.

* Experience supporting children with ASC (Autism Spectrum Conditions) or Learning Disabilities is a plus.

* Passionate commitment to the school's equal opportunities framework.

Skills & Personal Attributes:

* A team player who can also work independently with ease.

* Excellent communication and listening skills to connect with students, parents, and colleagues.

* Highly organized with strong practical skills.

* Adaptable, flexible, and calm under pressure.

* Ability to build and maintain professional relationships with pupils and parents alike.

* Experience in delivering the curriculum in community-based settings is an added bonus.

* Driver with your own car to travel as needed.
