Our client, a well-established and growing business in Gateshead, is expanding their team and seeking a dynamic and proactive professional to join them on a 12-month fixed-term contract, with potential for extension thereafter.

Salary: £24,000 - £27,000, depending on experience
Quarterly bonus scheme based on company performance
12-month fixed-term contract with potential for extension - employed directly with the company
Hours: 36-hour workweek with flexible start and finish times:
Monday to Thursday (8:20 AM - 4:30 PM)
Friday (8:20 AM - 1:30 PM) - early finish on Fridays!
Hybrid working - once fully trained, you can work from home every Friday

This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a people-focused, fast-paced environment and enjoys building strong, long-term relationships. The Business Development team brings in new clients, and your role is to nurture and manage those clients thereafter-handling their day-to-day accounts, checking in with customers, and ensuring they receive outstanding service.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage customer enquiries from initial contact to quotation, ensuring efficient follow-up
Build and maintain strong relationships with key accounts
Handle communications promptly and professionally
Identify and qualify areas for growth within accounts
Support regional marketing initiatives
Manage the centralised inbox to ensure quick response times
Provide outstanding customer service via phone and email
Escalate technical support enquiries via CRM systems
Oversee after-sales servicing and repairs
Prepare monthly reports
Monitor pricing and discount strategies to align with business goals
General administration dutiesWhat We're Looking For:

Experience in Account Management, Customer Service, Sales Administration, or Sales Order Processing
Proactive and results-driven with a self-starter mindset
Excellent communication skills via phone and email
Strong problem-solving skills with a customer-focused approach
Good IT proficiency - Office 365 and CRM experience is a plus
A team player who thrives in a collaborative environment
