Blossoms on the Reservoir are looking for a Nursery Manager to join their brand new nursery opening in early 2025 in Edgbaston
Blossoms on the Reservoir is the newest addition to a small, independent chain of nurseries based in the West Midlands.
The Blossoms Group offer high quality full day care for children aged 0 to 5 years. Open 7.00am-6.00pm 51 weeks of the year.
The nursery will be heavily supported by the curiosity approach to learning, with an emphasis on the natural world and what we can learn from the world around us.
The role is full time for 40 hours a week, across 5 days, with the occasional over time.
Duties will include:
* Fully understanding the Policies and Procedures and following them when running the nursery
* Managing and overseeing the daily running of the nursery
* Forming professional and friendly partnerships with parents and the staff team
* Completing staff supervisions and ensuring communication with the staff team is kept to a high standard
* Leading staff meetings on a monthly basis
* Staff delegation and deployment to ensure all rooms are working within the adult to child ratios
* Conducting peer observations and management spot checks. Focusing on the quality of interaction and the high levels of practice.
* Mentoring and training the staff team whilst encouraging and upskilling practice.
* Organising parent events
* Monitoring all daily and weekly checks are completed to a high standard
* Conducting viewings of the nursery.
* Assisting with the enquiry process, following up with parents after their viewing.
* Planning marketing strategies to fill the nursery to capacity
Requirements:
* A minimum of a Level 3 in Early Years is essential - a Level 4+ is desirable
* Previous experience of working as a Nursery Manager is essential.
* Experience working in a Curiosity Approach nursery is desirable but essential.
* Having good ICT skills is essential.
* Being a positive role model to your team.
* Effectively lead and manage the staff team.
* An extensive knowledge of the current EYFS, Ofsted and welfare requirements.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
* To be passionate, motivated, have the ability to work well within a team and be able to adapt to a fun and inspiring way of working.
We take safeguarding very seriously and a current and clean Disclosure Barring Services (DBS) Certificate is essential
