A leading provider in industrial technology is seeking an experienced and proactive Quality Engineer to support its business unit. This role offers a fantastic opportunity to contribute to quality management systems that meet strict regulatory standards, satisfy customer expectations, and promote continuous product improvement. The right candidate will play a vital part in optimising product quality while helping reduce the cost of poor quality.

Key Responsibilities for Quality Engineer:
• First Article Reporting: Generate and submit First Article Reports to customers and validate reports from suppliers to ensure product compliance.
• Internal Quality Monitoring: Proactively monitor product quality issues and escalate as necessary to maintain and improve standards.
• Root Cause Analysis: Lead cross-functional problem-solving teams to perform root cause analysis and implement corrective actions, ensuring long-term quality improvements.
• Quality Metrics Management: Support the establishment and ongoing management of quality metrics to track and drive continuous improvement.
• Product Compliance and Release: Oversee product release, ensuring it meets EASA Form 1, CAA Part 21 and 145, FAR 145, and Certificate of Conformity requirements. During absences, delegate these responsibilities effectively.
• Audit Leadership: Organize and lead audits conducted by both customers and third parties, ensuring all compliance requirements are met.
• Internal Audits: Execute internal audits as per company protocol, documenting and addressing any issues that arise.
• Quality Management Support: Step in for the Quality Manager as needed, providing leadership and continuity in quality management efforts.

Qualifications and Skills for a Quality Engineer in this role:
• Proven experience as a Quality Engineer in a fast-paced operational environment.
• Familiarity with AS9100 and FAA standards/regulations.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, for reporting and data analysis.
• Excellent communication skills for presentations and reporting.
