IT Cyber Security Engineer - London - £70K

Nigel Frank are working with a leading non-for-profit organisation on their search for a Cyber Security Engineer.

My client works at the forefront of their industry and they have assisted #removed#'s of people worldwide. They are building a new cyber security team in-house and this hire will not only be the first within the cyber security team, but it will also play a key role in future hires. You will join a strong, growing IT team that is involved directly in helping the company be efficient and safe from cybercrime, you will also be a crucial part in the organisation achieving their cyber essential certification. To be successful in this role, candidates need to have experience with using the Microsoft stack and have previous experience around the cyber essential certification process. This role will require you to work on cyber projects alone, but, also be able to confidently liaise with other members of the IT team as a whole to achieve a succinct and effective work environment that can produce a successful result.

This position is a hybrid role with 1 day on site required at their London office.

Responsibilities:

• Work closely with internal stakeholders to deliver on policies and procedures and report on security incidents
• Maintaining our systems security policies/configuration and procedures to industry best practices
• Monitor networks, systems and platforms for intrusions, attacks and unusual activity; responding appropriately
• Investigate security breaches and other cyber security incidents and report on them
• Establish contingency and disaster recovery plans in case of a security breach

Required Skills and Experience

• Mobile device management
• Email security solutions i.e. Mimecast, EOL or equivalent
• Extensive experience working as a Cyber security engineer or equivalent
• Experience with cloud security
• Endpoint security i.e. Microsoft, Netskope or equivalent
• Experience working in line with ISO 27001 or equivalent
