Job Description:
Holden Knight Healthcare is pleased to be recruiting for a local council in Berkshire, which is currently looking for passionate and skilled Social Workers to join their teams. There are two exciting opportunities available: Social Worker (Family Safeguarding) and Social Worker (SEN Inclusion & Disabled Children Team). 1. Social Worker (Family Safeguarding)Salary: £32,000 - £41,000 per annum
Key Responsibilities:
- Work directly with families to safeguard and promote the welfare of vulnerable children.
- Assess family circumstances, risks, and needs to create effective safeguarding plans.
- Work in partnership with other agencies, such as health services and schools, to deliver holistic support.
- Ensure the voice of the child is heard and integrated into all decision-making processes.
- Provide long-term support to families to improve outcomes and prevent future harm.
Requirements:
- Degree in Social Work and registration with Social Work England.
- Experience in family safeguarding, child protection, or similar environments.
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to manage complex cases and work collaboratively with other professionals.
2. Social Worker (SEN Inclusion & Disabled Children Team)Salary: £32,000 - £41,000 per annum
Key Responsibilities:
- Support children and young people with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND).
- Work closely with families, schools, and health professionals to provide holistic care.
- Develop personalised plans to ensure the inclusion and well-being of children with disabilities.
- Conduct assessments to determine the needs and eligibility for support services.
- Advocate for the rights of children with SEND to access appropriate educational and social opportunities.
Requirements:
- Degree in Social Work and registration with Social Work England.
- Experience working with children with disabilities and/or SEND.
- Knowledge of relevant legislation, including the Children’s Act and SEND Code of Practice.
- Excellent assessment and communication skills.
