Job Summary:

The MDJV Requirements Engineer has responsibility to support the Mace Dragados Curzon Station Requirements Management function to deliver the intent of and complies with the Mace Dragados Requirements Management Plan. You will apply Systems Engineering approach and undertake all Requirements Management related activities for Mace Dragados within an integrated team of Discipline leads from different disciplines. You will be supporting the Curzon Station Technical Assurance function.

Key Responsibilities:


• Responsible to provide support to the MDJV Curzon Requirements Manager.


• Responsible for supporting the Mace Dragados Requirements Management Planning activities, implementation and updates accordingly of the associated processes and procedures throughout the Curzon Station Project Lifecycles;


• Engage with Mace Dragados subcontractors and consultants and agree their associated responsibilities in implementing the HS2 and MDJV requirements management approach.


• Engage with subcontractors and consultants and third parties in agreeing CRT technical requirements, acceptance criteria and delivery evidence for their work packages. Monitor their performance against agreed outputs.


• Manage and Record requirements baselines in IBM DOORS module within the HS2 DOORS environment. Capture compliance statements and supporting evidence.


• Responsible for reviewing Verification & Validation activities through the HS2 Technical lifecycle stages.


• Lead regular Requirements and V&V evidence reporting and identify gaps.


• Engage in identifying technical Requirements scope changes and support change management process as per the new PMIs and TACs.


• Manage departures from the HS2 requirements via the HS2 Departures Procedure and support implementation of standards baselines.

Technical Skills and Competencies:


• Have good knowledge of Systems Engineering and Requirements management principles.


• Have excellent communication skills (including presentation skills) in English, both written and verbal and the ability to report at all levels


• Proficient in IBM DOORS usage


• Aware of CDM and CSM RA principles


• Excellent organisational skills and the ability to plan ahead and manage own time and logical thinker and organised.

Qualifications, Certifications and Experience:


• Educated to degree or higher level in a surveying, engineering, aerospace or construction discipline. An educational level, typically HNC or HND or a fully recorded vocational training to an equivalent level may be acceptable where a significant level of experience in a similar technical engineering role can be demonstrated.


• Previous experience in a similar role with aligned responsibilities & accountabilities.
