Our client based in Bredbury (Stockport) is looking for a skilled CNC Miller - Turner to join their team on a permanent basis.

Rate - £39,000 to £40,000 per annum + overtime+ 33% shift allowance
Hours - Monday to Thursday 08:30pm-7:00am (Night Shifts)

Role
To machine components to technical drawings and specifications.

Duties
● Set-up and operate CNC machines.
● Manufacture components from engineering drawings, whilst working within company Quality procedures.
● Self-inspection of their own work.
● Preventative & General maintenance checks.
● Ensure all HSE legislations are adhered to at all times.

Competencies
● Read and understand engineering drawings.
● Ability to set and operate CNC machines - Mill turn
● Ability to edit and prove out CNC programs.
● Ability to use a range of measuring equipment (micrometers, verniers etc.)
● Sound knowledge of geometrical tolerances.
● Good attention to detail.
● Strong team player with a can do attitude.
● Must be self-motivated.

Accountabilities and Performance Measures
● Produce components to the correct standards within a timely and efficient manner.
● Maintain a high level of housekeeping and follow the 5S program.
● Excellent timekeeping and attendance.

Job Requirements Qualifications
● Previous experience within the oil and gas industry is preferred but not essential.
● Minimum 5 years' experience operating CNC machines.
● Must have an Engineering Apprenticeship or similar.
● Fanuc or Mazatrol are advantageous.
