Responsibilities:

·You will be required to support and supervise young people who are not

asleep at the start of your shift and routinely check on young people at

regular intervals throughout the night.

You will need to promptly respond and attend to the needs of any young

people who may wake, experience distress, be unable to sleep, be woken

for personal care (toileting), or medical reasons.

About you

You should have a willingness and ability to demonstrate a commitment to

undertake NVQ level 3 in Child Care/Level 3 Diploma for Residential

Childcare or a qualification which is equivalent to a level 3 Diploma.

Knowledge of the principles of good practice in residential children's

homes.

Flexible shift patterns available, regular hours 9:30pm-7:30am.

Multiple sites across Oxfordshire.

Qualifications:

 Experience in Children's Residential Care

 Driving Licence

* Provide personal care and assistance with daily living activities.

* Support clients with mobility and transfers, ensuring their safety at all times.

* Assist with medication management as per care plans and guidelines.

* Engage clients in meaningful activities to promote social interaction and mental stimulation.

* Implement behaviour management strategies to support clients with challenging behaviours.

* Maintain accurate records of client progress and report any changes in condition to the nursing staff or care manager.

* Drive clients to appointments or social activities as required, ensuring their comfort during transport.

* Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop and update individual care plans tailored to each client's needs.

Requirements

* Previous experience in care.

* Certification in First Aid is preferred; additional training in nursing or related fields is an advantage.

* Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with clients and their families.

* Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.

* Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.

* A valid driving licence is essential for transporting clients when necessary.

* A genuine passion for providing high-quality support and care to individuals in need.
