Deputy Nurse Manager - Supernumerary (RGN/RMN)
40 hours per week
Salary: £43,000-£45,000 (dependent on experience)


We are looking for an experienced Deputy Nurse Manager (RGN/RMN) to join our client's team at their elderly care and dementia nursing home. In this role, you will be essential in ensuring high-quality care for our residents while providing leadership and support to our nursing staff. This position is based in a purpose-built home designed to meet the varied nursing needs of older adults, including those with dementia.

Qualifications
  • Nursing Qualification: Valid RGN (Registered General Nurse) or RMN (Registered Mental Health Nurse), with a valid UK NMC Pin
  • Experience: Proven experience in elderly care and dementia nursing.
  • Leadership Skills: Strong leadership and communication abilities.
  • Teamwork: Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
  • Regulatory Knowledge: Understanding of regulatory requirements and best practices in nursing.
  • Personal Qualities: Compassionate, empathetic, and committed to diversity, equality,


Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership: Collaborate with the Nurse Manager to oversee all aspects of nursing care within the facility.
  • Team Supervision: Supervise and support nurses and healthcare assistants to maintain the highest standards of care.
  • Resident Care: Conduct regular health assessments and create personalized care plans for residents.
  • Medication Management: Administer medications and treatments per individual care plans and best practices.
  • Work Environment: Act as a role model, fostering a positive and inclusive environment for the nursing team.
  • Staff Development: Assist in recruiting, training, and developing nursing staff.
  • Compliance: Ensure adherence to regulatory standards and company policies.
  • Relationship Building: Build strong relationships with residents, their families, and multidisciplinary teams to deliver holistic care.
