Responsibilities

Ensure that the company complies with all National and European regulations. Understanding the differences in National Laws.
Act as trainer, auditor and skills matrix holder for the above. Yearly audit on all Technicians. This may require travel to them in the field.
Responsible for coordinating audits by external bodies and carrying out internal audits.
Provide training to the relevant employees on Quality as needed.
The administration of Quality records.
Manage and evaluate customer satisfaction surveys, recording and reporting findings and solutions to the Leadership Team.
Maintain health & safety policy and keep up to date with risk assessments for engineers and customers.
Arrange engineer access to customer site.
Maintain Safe Contractor accreditation.
Provide information for customer and HSE enquiries for their MO function.
Ensure Quality, Health & Safety is of the highest standard with key field service and workshop. Processes, measures and communications in place.
Undertake other duties and ad hoc projects as required by the business.
About you

Proven knowledge and commercial awareness in regards to complying with relevant European and National regulations and National laws
Demonstrable understanding of Quality Management Systems and audits.
Proven confidence and resilience to deal with challenges from external and internal stakeholders.
Must be able to multi-task, be detail orientated and possess strong analytical skills.
Exercises good judgement, knows when to flag issues and when to deal with independently.
Strong communication skills at all levels, both verbal and written and excellent presentation skills.
Energy, enthusiasm and commitment are essential characteristics in this fast moving environment.
Good knowledge of structured problem solving tools and methodologies.
Excellent motivator, self-starting, with an enthusiastic approach.

Additional job elements

Flexibility in working environment, office to food factory based environments.
Ability to travel U.K. wide, (including Ireland) for audits, training, Technician / Customer / Sales support if required
Ability to travel to Germany (or other countries) for necessary training / meetings.
Full driver's license and valid U.K. passport.
Flexibility to cover absence of other H&S roles within the UK business. Qualifications and Education Requirements
 
Basic Qualifications:

Ideally NVQ in H&S or equivalent Quality and/or H&S experience.
Experience with performance metrics and process improvement.Preferred Qualifications:

Knowledge of ISO9001 and auditing.
Knowledge of The Health & Safety at Work etc Act 1974 plus applicable regulations.
Knowledge of NEBOSH
Knowledge of IOSH Managing Safely
