This is an excellent opportunity for a Senior QS / Commercial Manager who aspires to move into a Commercial Director role with shares in the business.

This opportunity is the perfect chance to join a growing family business that operate across the construction & interior fit-out of commercial & residential buildings including apartments and schools. The work is North West based and travel to sites is required from time-to-time. The successful QS / Commercial Manager will be leading a team of four including bid managers and junior QS' and be experienced in working across projects including finishing trades, dry-lining & plastering.

JOB DESCRIPTION

Management of the financial budgets / commercial and quantity surveying aspects of several projects at any one time through the entire project lifecycle

Projects will range in value from £30,000 to £7 million
Procurement and organisation of labour, plant and material resource
Accurate detailed valuations to be submitted and final accounts to be finalised and agreed.

Cost and prepare monthly financial reports and cashflow forecasts throughout the duration of contracts and provide general post contract cost management and control
Proficiency in the measurement for schedules of works and bills of quantities production.

Manage and prepare both tender and contract documentation
You will be working as part of a team but will also be expected to manage your own workload

REQUIREMENTS

Current UK Full Driving Licence
Prior comprehensive experience of commercial and practical aspects of construction site builds, in particular drylining and finishing trades
Dedication and professionalism
Numerically accurate and precise
Methodical and organised
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Good ability of electronic information processing [complying with GDPR requirements]
Eligible to work full time within the UK
